New Bedroom Set is here!

Last weekend, Geoff and I went to Underhill's going out of buisiness sale. Well, we found an awesome bedroom set. Its a beautiful, grown-up, better-keep-it-for-20-years, bedroom set.

It got delivered today! Its exactly what we needed.
1. It passed the Geoff test (meaning he can see the top of his head in the mirror)
2. Notice the drawers under the bed (you can't see, but there are 9 drawers there! storage! gotta love that in our house)
3. I can make the bed without breaking my back... seriously, tucking in the sheets at thigh level is like a dream come true!
4. Did I mention the number of drawers?

Another "F"ine day for Metro

Seriously...
We get one inch of snow that is melted off main roads by 6:30, and yet, Jaime and I get to wait over an hour in the cold for a bus. Thanks for the soreness in my back and legs, it's awesome! Metro, it's so good to know you've learned from your experience in "Snowmageddon 08".

And kudos to the city of Seattle for having those plows still out at 7:30am. In this abundant economy, I'm so glad that my tax dollars are being used wisely!

Paying the Cable Bill

So Jaime and I keep getting mailings for Clearwire internet...
I really want to switch, because I hate Comcast with a vengeance - paying the cable bill is like getting kicked in the junk every month - but I'm addicted! It's a monopoly! Comcast loves me, and then kicks me in the junk...WHY??!!! I hate you Comcast, but I love you sooo much!!!

West Seattle's Police State

So recently they installed a red light camera at a major intersection near our house to "make the intersection safer" (that's police speak for "generate revenue"). This came about six months after they added a seperate left turn arrow off of this arterial, which along with an automatically cycling abnormally long pedestrian light, has been aggravating me ever since (and I have been performing acts of civil disobedience in protest). Now, they have finally activated the red light camera, and where did they place not one, but TWO GIANT warning signs? Well on the cross street not affected by the camera of course! Observe -
